My own personal vlogs for updates (cars, personal, ect.) when I haven’t the time to do full-length videos on working on the cars. It’s also easier and more convenient for me to do this than type things at times when I’m trying to explain things or use photos. Enjoy! ^_^

You have a pleasant voice, too, K.

Might I suggest shooting the video and then adding in the commentary as a voice over instead? That way it stays consistent, because right now, it drops off a bit every time you’re not facing the camera while you speak.

I’ve always wanted to do a video series called “The Slant”. Although most of the videos wouldn’t be about the Dodge, probably more about the Ranger, my brother’s Fiesta, my dad’s XC90, and my buddies countless Volvo 240s.

I feel like Youtube would be so much better if everyone had decent microphones. I’m hesitant to make any videos because I don’t have one.

You can get by with the on-camera mic. K’s video doesn’t sound bad, even though he’s outdoors and moving around, but it would sound better if he recorded a separate voice track and laid it over the video. Even if that voice track was created by recording indoors using the same camera and just cutting the video track out of it.

But then you start going into how to create an increasingly complex package with limited materials, and then learning how to budget shots for length, type of shot, cutaways, transitions, etc. and pairing that to your audio tracks. Then you start thinking in terms of A-roll and B-roll, and then it just becomes way more time consuming than coming to Oppo and writing a post, heh.

I quite like my voice myself, although it’s a bit weird sounding to me haha.

Sounds like a pretty good idea. Once I figure out how to do it, or maybe this upcoming video will be the one that utilizes it!
